The Best Fantasy Football Trophies Guide
Every league needs a fantasy football trophy to hand the champion, right? Bragging rights can last a few months, prize money can last for a dinner or two, but a trophy can last a long time.
There are a lot of other guides out there on this subject. There are even some guides that list the best fantasy football trophies you can buy. However, this guide will focus on each type of fantasy trophy, and it's costs.

Single Season Trophies Explained
A single season fantasy award can be given out to one champion winner each NFL season. These usually take the form of a solid trophy of either metal or plastic on a wooden or marble base.
For most leagues that are run with different people each year, single season trophies are the ideal award to get. Because you do not know if this person will be in your league next year, the commissioner would be wise to hand this out as an award, instead of the next kind of trophy...

Perpetual Trophies Explained
Perpetual trophies are best used for leagues that will have similar or the exact same owners for more than a few years. These trophies usually have multiple nameplates (6 or more usually), that the league commissioner can have engraved for each winning champion.
The upside of using a perpetual trophy is that it's cost is a one-time fee for the award; this is also it's biggest downside. Since the trophy is rather large, it will initially cost more. The commissioner will also have to order an engraving for each new champion of league each season.

Choosing the right one
To choose the right fantasy football trophy, the best thing to do is to ask yourself three questions:
How the trophy will be displayed can dictate if it will be formal fantasy award, or a humorous one as well. If the trophy will be shown in an office-space, you most likely will not want a large beer bottle for a trophy.
You also should know if the same people will be playing more than a few years. A perpetual trophy would be more ideal in that case.
The final decision concerns cost. If you play in a free league, chances are you won't be spending a lot. However, if it's a free league of family and friends, or even long-time co-workers and employees, than a single crystal trophy costing a few hundred dollars probably isn't the best option either.
